We have had a roller coaster ride as far as weather goes this week. 70 degrees one day, 20 degrees the next. We had some rain the other night. It was not much, and has not done much to the rivers yet anyways. The Grand may bump up as a little more rain fell east of Grand Rapids. The Muskegon is still clear and at a basically normal flow. Fresh steelhead are showing. Yes, numbers are down so far, and the fish are running smaller as a whole this season, but we are still having good days with plenty of action and netting some very nice adult steelhead. We fish a few different rivers this time of year, so get ahold of me for options. I still have spring days I’m looking to fill, so contact me for availability. Call (616) 813-5989 to talk fishing or for information on any of the fishing trips I offer throughout the year. Warmer than normal weather is being forecast through at least the middle of March. Take advantage of the weather and give me a call to get out on the river.
