We have seen about everything the weather could possibly throw at us over the last 2 weeks. Rain, snow, sunny & warm t-shirt weather and frigid cold. The Muskegon River has seen some major changes too. 5 days ago it was up to 4000 cfs with a stain, as of yesterday it was 2000 cfs and close to gin clear. The lower section is holding a slight stain but the upper stretches are clear. Things are moving quickly on the river, as there has been a good number of fish that have already spawned. Although over the last few weeks we have been catching new chrome fish just moving in along with a good amount of fish dropping back to the lake. I have been running my trips on the Muskegon as of late, doing a lot of bead fishing with some backbouncing mixed in. Feel free to give me a call regarding spring steelhead availability or for information on any of the fish we target throughout the year. (616) 813-5989
