Winter steelhead fishing has been great. There has been a big improvement in numbers of steelhead compared to the last couple of years. At the current time we are in the thick of a deep freeze, and most rivers are locked up. But any warm-up we get will open the rivers up and we will be on the water. If you love to fish and have never experienced winter steelhead fishing, I highly suggest it. I run both 4 and 6 hour trips during the winter months and base start time on air temps and river conditions. Dress warm and come experience a day on the river. During normal winter conditions, steelhead are very predictable as far as location, and some good days are very possible. I have February dates available as well as some good spring dates up for grabs. Don’t hesitate to call me at 616 813-5989 if your are looking for information on a possible trip. I am on the water all 12 months of the year. My 2025 salmon season is filling up. Late August through mid- October is when I target those. If you are contemplating a fall migration salmon trip during that timeframe, get in touch with me sooner than later.
