Today is the last day of November. The month started out fishing pretty good, but the last few weeks have been tough fishing at times. We have been having to work for fish, but just like anything else, persistence usually pays off. I have been doing my fishing on the Grand and Muskegon rivers with a few outings on the Rogue. Excited to see what the month of December has in store for steelhead fishing!
My site has been down so I have been unable to post reports, but October steelhead fishing was fantastic! Both the Grand and Muskegon Rivers had some decent pushes of fish, and the size seems to be running big this year. Now we are into November and this is probably my favorite time to be steelhead fishing. As water temps cool and river levels drop from the higher water levels we have been experiencing, steelhead should begin to hold. Float fishing, back bouncing and plug fishing are all great methods to target fall steelhead.
It has been dry and river levels are low. It has also been a warm week and the water temps have increased. The king bite has still been good and we have been seeing some good fish on our outings. I have availability the last week of September. This has been a great king run with the biggest fish we’ve seen in years. The time to get in on the action is now! (616) 813-5989
