July 2020

Fishing has been good for us this summer. This heat we have been experiencing the last few weeks makes it feel like we are down south instead of in Michigan. River temps are high and the smallmouth bass has definitely been the most aggressive species. We are coming across a few walleye and northern pike too, but for the most part those have been tough. We have been catching good numbers of smallmouth though and some good sized ones as well. Pound for pound, they are a tough fish and they do not disappoint. Both the Grand and Muskegon have been fishing good, with our best bite coming on sub-surface finesse presentations. I have a good number of August days open yet, a good month to go after these river brutes. Also booking fall salmon and steelhead trips, get ahold of me to get on the water 616 813-5989
