Summer river trips have been going well. The smallmouth bass bite has been good to excellent. As of today, the Muskegon River is at a normal summer level. The river has been holding on to a stain similar to UP rivers since the big flood last spring. The top-water bite for smallmouth has been good some days and non-existent on others. Finesse fishing tactics have been working well every day. We have had some run-ins with some nice northerns and a few walleyes on our bass trips. I have a few days available this August for smallmouth before I switch over to Kings at the end of August. We are getting prepared for the big salmon migration with chrome steelhead to follow. Feel free to get in touch with me for information on a possible guided trip. Thanks to all the great customers who have spent time on the boat with me this summer, it’s been fun. Summer is flying by, enjoy what little is left!
