Pictured above is client and friend John with an awesome Pere Marquette River King Salmon. We are finished with our King Salmon guide trips on the PM. It was another successful season up there and our guests were able to tangle with some good fish. The season started off strong, but the warm weather finally caught up with us and it made for a tough bite towards the end of our trips up there. The Muskegon River has been fishing tough as of late for migratory fish. King Salmon, Coho Salmon and steelhead are in the river, but 65 degree crystal clear water has not been helpful in getting them in the mood to play. We have received some rain recently. Hopefully soon we will get some cooler days and cold nights which would be a big help in getting things going. The Grand River has been fishing OK for steelhead mainly at the 6th Street dam area. As river temps drop, more areas of the river will open up for opportunities to catch fall chrome steelhead. I have a few November days available yet and a good amount of December open for bookings. Give me a call at 616 813-5989 if your looking for fishing information or would like to talk about a guided trip.
