Late fall steelhead fishing has been good and we are now entering the winter season. This is still a great time to book a trip on the river, as steelhead are willing to play all winter. We have been running trips on a few different rivers lately, so feel free to contact me to talk over options.
Google has marked my business as permanently closed, but obviously that is not the case. The reason for this is due to my move to a new house, but I still service all the same rivers. Hopefully Google will have this updated soon.
Id like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. Please feel free to contact me regarding out charter information or for an up to date fishing report.
We have been running our trips on a few different systems the last few weeks, and all have been producing steelhead. We had some cold rain today which will bump up river levels and bring in fresh steelhead from the lake. This is just what we needed to set up some good fishing for the next few weeks and into December. Depending on what river we are fishing, we have been bobber fishing with salmon eggs and beads and/or backbouncing. Get in touch with me if you’re interested in some December steelhead fishing or doing some fishing this winter. Personally, these are my favorite months to steelhead fish. After what was a slow start to our fall steelhead season, fishing is definitely picking up. We are seeing better numbers and better fish. Warm river temps and low river levels made for a slow start to the fall steelie season. Small fish and tough fishing had us grinding, but over the last week, there has been an improvement. I anticipate the fishing to continue to get better with the colder temps and, hopefully, more precipitation. I have fall and winter dates available.
